Norwegian Cruise Line has demonstrated its commitment to the Israel
market at a special press event held to mark the launch of the company’s plans
for 2018.
At the event, Nick Wilkinson, Vice President and Managing Director,
Norwegian Cruise Line UK&I and MEA, revealed the brand’s latest brochure,
detailing itineraries and sailings up until April 2019. The Worldwide Cruises
brochure showcases Norwegian’s spectacular global deployment in summer 2018,
including five ships in Europe, with Norwegian Breakaway returning to the
region for the first time since her inaugural in 2013 to sail the Baltics out
of Copenhagen, as well as Norwegian Epic returning to sail the Western
Mediterranean from Barcelona.
The programme also includes Norwegian Jewel’s second season in
Australia and New Zealand following an expansive refurbishment. From November
2018, guests can experience an action-packed series of itineraries taking in
the best of Australia including Melbourne, Cairns, Hobart; and New Zealand
including Milford Sound, Wellington and Tauranga, as well as itineraries to the
South Pacific, Southeast Asia, and a transpacific voyage from Vancouver to
Tokyo (Yokohama).
To celebrate Norwegian Cruise Line’s expansion into the Israeli
market, the brand has launched a special Buy One Get One Half Price offer. Exclusive
to guests in the Israeli market, when booking any grade of cabin the second
guest will benefit from half price fares. This offer is applicable on a wide
selection of sailings, including Alaska, the Baltics, the Canary Islands,
Southern and Western Caribbean and the Western Mediterranean*.
At the event, Nick Wilkinson said: “In the global cruise sector, Israel
is in the top ten markets outside of the US for Norwegian. There are projected to be 85,000 Israeli
cruise passengers generated in 2017 and, with an expected double digit growth
in 2018, we are committed to this growing market. Both the brochure and special
offer demonstrate this commitment and we are looking forward to developing our
brand presence further throughout the coming years.”
Alongside both of these initiatives, Norwegian Cruise Line has
appointed Fleisher PR to represent the brand in Israel. Tasked with sharing
news and developments and supporting growth in the market, Fleisher PR will
lead on brand awareness activities and will be the main point of contact for
local media.
On the appointment, Nick Wilkinson, Vice President and Managing
Director, Norwegian Cruise Line UK&I and MEA, said: “We are thrilled to
have Fleisher PR on board working with us to further raise our brand profile in
Israel. With holiday makers’ appetite for cruise increasing year on year, now
is a really exciting time in the industry. We can’t wait to get started and continue
to showcase our innovative and value-driven cruise product to an even wider
audience.”
